Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov meets with the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament
Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Giorgio Mule, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament, who is on a visit to our country to participate in the VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum.
The meeting discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and Italy, as well as the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period.
The importance of high-level contacts and dialogue, as well as parliamentary diplomacy, in the development of existing multi-dimensional strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Italy was noted. The wide prospects for further development of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy security, transport and communications, education, culture, etc. were emphasized. It was noted that the Italian-Azerbaijani University, which is being established in our country, is of great importance for further deepening cooperation in the field of education.
J. Bayramov informed the other side in detail about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, large-scale reconstruction and construction work carried out in the liberated territories, the normalization and peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the mine threat in the region.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
